It is time for Mercedes Benz to replace its gorgeous, headturning SLS AMG — and that car will be the SLS AMG GT. Not a new additional edition to the line-up, but rather the successor to the SLS AMG, the GT will be powered by the same potent 6.2-liter V8 from the current SLS, though its tweaked with 20 more horsepower (up to 583 HP).

Torque production stays the same, as does its precise seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission. Although its top speed stays consistent at an electronically limited 197 miles per hour, the GT version does shave off a tenth of a second from its 0-60 time (down to a blazing 3.6 seconds). |

In addition, Benz has aggressively tuned its adaptive performance suspension for a stiffer ride while redesigning the interior to wrap you in luxury. Its new Designo style package comes in three different color combinations in both single- and two-tone finishes, the premium leather stitched with a diamond quilt pattern on the seats and doors with contrast stitching throughout. |

As can be expected the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT will come in gullwing-doored coupé and roadster models. |

Other options include copious carbon fiber substitutions, carbon ceramic brakes, a Bang & Olufsen sound system and a variety of wheel options. |
