Ducati’s all time best seller, the third generation of the bike that ushered in the “naked” look finally gets its smaller displacement engine. The Monster 821 boasts an 11″ Terrastrota engine on a motorcycle that is impressively lightweight (396 lbs) considering its 112 horsepower and 65.9 ft-lb of torque. Other bragging rights include eight-level traction control, three-level ABS and Ride-by-Wire — as w…

Austin motorcycle workshop Hold Fast Motors have just unveiled the “Black & Tan,” a custom 1979 Yamaha XS400 motorbike. The small workshop is run by Andy Hull who was inspired by the rough look and knobby tires of the Triumph ridden by Steve McQueen in The Great Escape, giving the bike a definite ’70s appeal. Originally intended as a cafe racer, the bike naturally evolved into the Brat/Scrambler hybrid it is now. Outfitted with a quilted tan leather seat and tan leather saddlebags, the “Black & Tan” pays homage to a classic vintage mo…
Erstwhile New Orleans now Birmingham, Alabama-based Confederate Motorcycles have made a solid name for themselves designing custom bikes that drop jaws on concrete, much like their C3 X132 Hellcat. Now they’ve released images of their latest iteration — the R131 Fighter. The R131 sets itself apart from other Confederate creations via its aircraft-grade aluminum construction — making it even lighter than the X132, which was the calling card of that Hellcat. The R131 also sheds pounds via lightweight carbon fiber wheels, and stops them with 4…
Russian manufacturer Ural has carved out a nice niche in the motorcycle game by producing beautiful, retro bikes with sidecars. They’re not really “retro”, however, because Ural has been making variations of these bikes since the 1940s. Their latest limited edition motorcycle is an American West-inspired sidecar dubbed the Gaucho Rambler. Source

Three years ago we covered the Magpul Ronin, a stunning 2-wheeled concept based on the Buell 1125R and transformed into a dark robotic stalker. Well news has hit that Magpul is ramping up into production with its Ronin motorcycle, with only 47 bikes to be built — each hand-built bike will be issued a name (instead of a serial number) that corresponds with each of the 47 Ronin of ancient Japanese lore. The Magpul Ronin features a girder front suspension, linkage fork with Penske coil-over monoshock, and front mounted radiator, plus …

France’s Rive Gauche Kustoms put in work on this Honda CX500 custom motorbike. They really stripped this bike down from its original state, but the end result is extremely nice. The tires are drastically different, too, adding a rougher edge to the bike. The all black paint is accented nicely by the white paint found on the motor.
